3rd ANNUAL ‘PINK THE RINK” HOCKEY, EVENT RAISING FUNDS FOR THE JOHN KANZIUS CANCER RESEARCH FOUNDATION.
The McDowell Hockey Club of Millcreek Township will be hosting the 3rd Annual Pink the Rink Hockey Event on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. to raise funds for the John Kanzius Cancer Research Foundation.
The McDowell Trojans and the Cathedral Prep Ramblers Varsity Hockey Teams will meet center ice at the Erie Insurance Ice Arena to play for cure. Any time these two schools meet in an athletic contest it is guaranteed to be an exciting event, but this game will take on added meaning as all profits of the event have been designated for funding research, finding better treatments, and finding a cure for all types of cancer. The John Kanzius Foundation continues to demonstrate cutting-edge research and to bring meaningful advances in cancer treatments with the goal of eventually curing people affected by this horrible disease, and McDowell Hockey is proud to be a part of this life saving mission.
