As the new Presidency begins, albeit a “second term,” there are many particular challenges to “Obama 2,” including the “second term blues” that have affected modern presidencies to current challenges. Historical perspectives on pre-modern second terms and examples of lessons learned from new and second term presidencies will be examined, offering insight as the new administration begins.
