A unique practice, this method of yoga is especially kind to the aging body, although the practice is for anyone at any age. It is also suitable for all levels of students, and even a non-yoga practitioner can enjoy yin yoga. Specifically, this type of yoga targets the bones and joints and is healing for the supportive connective tissue particularly in the hips, pelvis and lower spine. It is described as a meditation of the body as the gentle poses are held for a time releasing tension and relaxing the body. The experienced, certified teacher leads you through the poses artfully.
